Welcome to NARL’s homepage. Through this page we want to give you a flavor of our research activities, the type of experimental facilities available, and above all the opportunities available to you, whether you are a student, scientist or a business man.  Let me explain the available opportunities. We have Junior Research Fellowship available for motivated young students to pursue their doctoral work leading to PhD degree. If you have postgraduate degree in Physics/ Mathematics/ Atmospheric Sciences/ Meteorology and already NET qualified in any of these subjects you can send me your cv and interview can be arranged. If you are already a PhD holder in any of the atmospheric/space science subjects and would like to work as a Post Doctoral Fellow you may visit our different groups and make a suitable research proposal and send to me with your recent cv, list of publication etc. If you are already an atmospheric/space scientist, working in an Institute/University and like to either use our experimental facilities or do collaborative research work with NARL scientists you are most welcome. In this regard I like to tell you that we are soon launching an observational campaign known as SAFAR (Study of Atmospheric Forcing and Responses) and you can join us in our ‘safar’ (In Hindi language ‘safar’ means journey). Coming to business man, needless to say, any laboratory of this nature needs regular supply of laboratory equipments, consumables and services and you can find our recent requirements in our ‘Tender’ page.  Possibility exists also for technology transfer if you are in the manufacturing business. If you are a common man, does not fit into any of the above category, but interested in science and particularly to know the type of work we do, please feel free to contact any of our staff  and they will be more happy to help you.
